Important Rules and Information for UP Polytechnic 2025 Counseling

If you have passed the UP Polytechnic 2025 exam, then counseling is your next step. This post will provide a simple explanation of how to participate in counseling and the key points to keep in mind.
- Log in and Fill ChoicesFirst, visit jeecup.admissions.nic.in and log in with your Login ID and Password. Then fill in as many choices as possible for institutes and courses. If you have forgotten your password, then use the ‘Forget Password’ option to reset it.
- Choose Options Based on Your Rank
Choose institutions based on your rank in the entrance exam. The better your rank, the higher your chances of getting into a top institution.

- Document Verification
You will be called for document verification at the district help center only if you choose the ‘Freeze’ option. Without verification, your admission will not be valid.
- Rules for UP and Other State Candidates
The first three rounds of counseling are only for candidates from Uttar Pradesh. Candidates of other states are eligible for special (2nd phase) counseling.
- What Freeze and Float Options Mean
After seat allotment, you will have two options:
Freeze: You accept the seat and want to take admission in the allotted institute.
Float: You expect a better seat and want to participate in the next round.
In both cases, you have to pay Rs. 3250/- (Rs. 3000 + 250) online.
- Important Note for Float Option
If you choose the Float option and do not pay the counseling fee, then you will not be allowed to participate in the next round. So please make sure you pay the fee on time.
- Seat Withdrawal Option
If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat, then you can choose the ‘Withdrawal’ option to cancel your seat. In that case, your acceptance fee of Rs. 3000/- will be refunded.
- How Will the Refund Be Given?
After seat withdrawal, the refund will be transferred to your bank account. It must be the same account you used during the application.
- Final Admission Rules
You have to follow the rules of the institute you are taking admission in. If your documents and fees are not submitted on time, then your admission may be cancelled.
